Following the overwhelming success of our inaugural competition last year Northwich Litfest and Ourtown Magazine have again combined to offer the chance to win a prize and see their work published for more than 20,000 readers.
“The stories were first rate, with a fantastic variety and a standard of writing to match and we believe there is a lot of talent out there just waiting for a chance to shine. But you don’t have to be a serious writer, you just need a good story to tell,” said judge Susi Osborne, herself a published author.
Last year’s entries produced laughs, tears, thrills and a few clever surprises. The eventual winner was Rosemary Teece with her first ever short story.
